Honda Acura B18 B20 5.967" Long Rod Description

All Hurricane H-beam connecting rods are forged from certified 4340 chromoly steel. Hurricane Speed and Performance connecting rods are subjected to extensive material testing. Another important design feature: If necessary, Hurricane H-beam connecting rods are manufactured from a 2 piece forging. This is significant because it enhances the strength of the rod cap by orienting the "grain" of the metal with the direction of stress. The stress exerted on the connecting rod cap is perpendicular to the stress on the beam. Hurricane H- Beam connecting rods could be installed with ARP 2000 Capscrews.
Sets are weight matched to +/- 1g. Sizing is performed on the unique system for a perfect housing bore. These are the perfect choice for engines up to 900 hp. Includes a set of four connecting rods. To use these long connecting rods in application, you will need to purchase a set of custom forged aftermarket pistons with a 0.827"/21mm wrist pin size.
