Chevy LS 6.100" Connecting Rods Description

Hurricane make different center to center length connecting rods for Chevy small block V8 engines. Each Chevy SBC 4340 Steel Connecting Rods is manufactured from 4340 forged steel, using an H-beam design to increases twisting strength and rod reliability. Per rod’s dimensions inspected fully to ensure extreme reliability, much more, all these Chevy Small Block V8 H beam rods are fully machined and shot peened to meet high quality level. 

After shot peened, you can see the rods’ appearance is very smooth though following picture, Shot peening is a process to prevent fatigue failures that originate on the surface of the part and induce compressive stresses, primarily used to increase fatigue life by bombarding the surface of the parts with uniform small steel balls .
