Honda L15A 139mm H beam Connecting Rods Description
All Hurricane connecting rods designed by CAD software before production and engineers made use of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to determine high-stress points and implemented features for wear reducing and strength improved .
Same with other Hurricane rods, Honda L15A connecting rods are forged from 4340 (En24) steel too, and machined to H-beam shape for weight saving and higher strength . Each rod heat treated to HRC 34-38 and then shot peened for high fatigue life. Besides , all the small ends are bronze bushed for floating pins and big ends are fitted with high quality ARP fasteners with different specification bolts available. Also , each rod tapered on small ends to handle extreme engine loads and give increased clearance for fully boxed pistons.
