VW VR6 2.8L & 2.9L Connecting Rods Description
Forged 4340 Connecting Rods for VW VR6 are profiled for stroker clearance.I beam connecting rods are the common used as performance rods, I beam VW VR6 connecting rods are popular for track race engine builders, The side beam of the rods provide a good combination of light weight, tensile and compressive strength. to handle higher horsepower loads, the VR6 connecting rods are CNC machined to improve strength.
For added durability, Hurricane race spec Series Cap Screw Fasteners are used to secure the heavy-duty 2-rib doweled rod caps. the 164 x 20mm Forged Rods VR6 can use both 3/8" and 5/16" connecting rods bolts, Hurricane race spec 5/16-1.500" bolts torque is 45N*m, Hurricane race spec 3/8-1.600" bolts torque is 75N*m. Our connecting rod bolts PSI could reach 211,829. you can check the test report at our certification page.
