Same with other Hurricane connecting rods , these VW 1.9L TDI connecting rods also manufactured from high tensile 4340 steel material . 100% designed and processed by CNC machine, sonic tested , magnafluxed and shot peened to meet high quality standard . What’s more, these VW 1.9L TDI I-beam connecting rods machined with tapered on the small ends to allow for some weight saving on the reciprocation end and offer increased clearance for fully boxed pistons.
