Hurricane Speed and Performance H Beam GM LE5/LE9 Ecotec 2.4L connecting rods are machined from 4340 Chrome-Moly, and then heat treatment with HRC34-38 to provide improved strength. To make the rods even stronger, they are shot peened to which also increases fatigue life. All Hurricane GM 2.4L LE5/LE9 connecting rods are fitted with highly durable premium Alum/Sil Bronze Bushing for providing integrity and reliability. Each rod set for the 2.4 Ecotec LE5/LE9 engines are packaged with set of 4 Rods.

All Hurricane GM LE5/LE9 Ecotec 2.4L connecting rods are finished in China at Hurricane Speed and Performance Factory in Sichuan directly. Critical rod dimensions are are held to very precise tolerances of +/- .0.005mm, which is the tightest tolerance you will find in the performance and racing aftermarket. These rods are an excellent upgrade component for high performance and racing LE5/LE9 series 2.4L four cylinder engines.
