Hurricane GM Chevy SBC H-Beam connecting rods are forged from high strength 4340 steel material, fully CNC machined to be more reliable in the automotive racing fields. Each rod is bronze bushed for full floating applications, shot peened to improve fatigue strength, heat treated with 34-38HRC for higher strength, dimensioned inspected for high stability.

High quality 4340 forgings picture: each forging is X-rayed , sonic tested and magnafluxed.

Shot peened connecting rods

Finished connecting rods picture : Per big end and small end are fully honed by SUNNEN machine. High strength dowel sleeves fitted in the rod cap to connect rod beam and cap.
