Hurricane Crankshaft is the finished from 4340 forged steel which is known for its durability and strength at high heat applications. Here's some information you may interest.
1. The Journal is required high precision Less than 0.01 mm. Named circularity is less than 0.005 mm. Process by finish grinding, nitriding and polishing, run out is less than mm.
2. All the flank and outline have been machined. After shot peening, increasing the intensity effectively.
Dynamic balancing hole will not to effects high performance. Decrease weight and ensure dynamic balance effective. Torque of the main is less than 20g.cm.
4. The hole on rod Journal will decrease weight and increase energy efficiency
5. Teardropped, cross pre-drilled and micro polished to a mirror finish.
6. Gun pre-drilled, CNC ground oil holes feature a smooth surface
