National Day is the symbol of china, It is on October 1, 1949, the anniversary of the new China was founded. It’s an important day that marks the beginning of PRC. Since 1999, the National Day is the mainland of China's "golden week" holidays. On that day, from thecentral government to the general people, there are plenty of celebrations holding throughout the country, including fireworks. And public places, including big squares, parks are decorated in festive theme or hang out the paper lanterns. In recent years,The National Day marks the start of one of the two Golden Weeks in the PRC, which is a short holiday that all people expect to. With the improvement of living standards, people have more money and desire to travel and the golden week is a good chance for them. Besides, for thosepeople who would not go out, it’s a good time to have a good rest and a good chance to go back to hometown to stay with their familiy as well. Therefore,the national day means a lot to the Chinese.
Business actually flourishes during holidays, so there’s no need to worry about the shopping, dining or entertainment. Some shopping malls, shops, supermarkets and restaurants have promotions and discounts on festivals, and some even extend their opening time. During this week, chinese people enjoy themselves in a great variety of ways, contributing to a boost in tourism industry.
